This was an experience I could’ve done without. Online it’s dated the smog check station closes at 6 PM. I arrived at 5:35 and asked if he had time to do the smog test or if I should come back tomorrow. He stated that he was leaving in five minutes so I said I can come back tomorrow but he said, “no I can do it now just pull up your car”. As I waited he came up and put a form in front of me quickly and said to sign it and took it away just as quickly. I assumed this was the work order. After he finished he quickly pulled my car out close the door and took my paperwork to the cashier and then disappeared. I showed my coupon to the cashier and he said that the man doing the smog check has to add it. I immediately went to look for him and when I found him told him I had the coupon. He said I was supposed to show him that earlier. He said, “Like when you use a coupon at the store.” I said I show coupons when I pay. He said his boss doesn’t like him to make corrections so I offered to contact his boss later to let him know what happened. When I said this he grabbed the paper, scribbled 39.99 and a total of 48.20 which doesn’t add up and then rushed out. After paying and getting outside he was already gone. I looked at my phone at it was only 5:43. I can’t believe all this happened in less than 10 minutes! I don’t mind the speed but really resented the conversation and the technician making me feel like I was an inconvenience when I offered to come back the next day. Terrible customer service.
